Frequently Asked Questions
Can we create
a custom session?
Of course! I'm happy to discuss what you're looking for and create a session/package that meets your needs!

What is the process once we've booked a session?
Once you book your session, you will receive a questionnaire to fill out which will help me to further tailor your session to you. Then I will send a document with information and reminders to help you prepare for your photo session and give you more information about what you can expect during your session.

What is the timeframe for receiving photos?
You can expect to receive your gallery of photos within three to four weeks of your photo session.
Do you photograph
weddings or newborns?
I do not photograph weddings or newborns;
however I am happy to recommend photographers that do specialize in those areas.
I do enjoy engagement sessions, anniversary sessions, and photographing children that are at least 6 months old.

What about pets?
I love pets. I do not specialize in pet portrait photography, but I am happy to include your pet in your photos or take a few pics of your pet as well during your session. I do need to know ahead of time if you will be bringing your pet along, but it's not usually a problem unless our location prohibits pets.

What about bad weather?
You know that saying about how there's no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing choices for the weather conditions? That can be true in general but not necessarily for photography sessions. I have done sessions in rain and with moody skies and they've been great, but not all sessions lend themselves to those conditions. I do reserve the right to reschedule sessions due to difficult weather circumstances - high heat/humidity, storms, extreme cold, wind, rain, etc. In the event that a reschedule is necessary, you will be given more than one choice of reschedule dates.

Can you help with outfit choices?
Yes, I can help guide you in putting together outfits for your session. The best choices are always clothes that you feel comfortable in, so we'll start there and then figure out what types of outfits will give you the vibe you are looking for in your session.
What do we do with the photos once we have them?
This is one of the things I ask upfront. What are you planning to use the photos for and how do you want to display them? Albums and graduation announcements are typical for seniors, but a nice wall print is also good. Albums aren't just for weddings and seniors, though - you can definitely create an album with the photos from your family or engagement session. A great piece of wall art - a framed print, a metal print, or an acrylic print is always nice to have, or a tabletop display - small framed prints, bamboo or acrylic blocks - is a lovely way to show off your photos. One of my favorite things is print boxes, which is just what it sounds like - a box of prints so that you can rotate the prints that you display and keep the ones not on display stored in the box. And while social media is a great place to show off your photos, I strongly encourage everyone to consider prints and photo products so that you can view and show off your beautiful images in your home and/or gift them to others.
